Mission Statement
To develop a superior product and
maintain the best customer service possible, because we consider our reputation our
greatest asset.
Company Profile
RAM Systems has over twenty five years of fire mapping
experience. We
started operating airborne radiometric cameras in 1976 and began mapping fire perimeters in
1988.
Our
experiences during the Yellowstone fires demonstrated a need for plotting heat
intensities as well as fire perimeters. In 1989, we upgraded our system to meet
those needs. In 1995 we upgraded again to a gimbal mounted system. Our current system
was acquired in 1999. This system is gyro stabilized with improved features and capabilities. In addition to the improved
camera, we have added a mobile GIS lab.
From this field work, we have been constantly developing our software to meet
the needs of our camera systems, and as technology improves, we have been
upgrading our systems to capitalize such advancements. By 2004 we knew our in-house mapping system had become quite sophisticated.
Seeing also the demand for such systems outside our immediate circle, we
branched off from our fire work and now support both a service based
company as well as a provider of moving map products. This journey is how
the RAM Tracker and Air Tracker systems were made available to the public.
