RAM flies New Orleans' levee system

September 2005 --

RAM Systems LLC flew over the New Orleans levee system today to find weak areas in the system.  They found several troublesome spots and will report their findings to the Army Corps of Engineers.

The following pictures demonstrate weak areas by the cooler (blue) temperatures, meaning that the water is sitting just below the surface of the levee and therefore the levee is not structurally sound.  The red in the pictures signify dry/nearly dry areas where the levee has been able to withstand, thus far,  any of the breaches that the other areas have suffered.

Using RAM System's radiometric cameras to ascertain this type of information is a very valuable tool, and a feature unique to radiometric cameras.
